Design and development of the official app of the Italian Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), a tool showing the data of all seismic activity throughout the Italian Peninsula, one of the most earthquake prone regions on earth.
Despite having a very scientific nature the app is targeted primarily to a wider, non-technical audience. As such the user interface and information architecture required a simple and concise design, while the overall mood of the app is in keeping with the seriousness of the subject matter.
